Building Community, Building Tung Chung: Lunar Walkathon 2025

## PROGRAMME AND EVENT INTRODUCTION Supported by **The Swire Group Charitable Trust**, coordinated by **The Hong Kong Council of Social Service**, the **"Building Community, Building Tung Chung"** Programme has been initiated in Tung Chung since 2020. Through the collaborative effort of different partner NGOs including InspiringHK Sports Foundation, schools and corporate part- ners, a series of activities focused on family, sports, play, youth career development and social inclusion would be offered to the Tung Chung community. We aim to strengthen community connections and optimise community resources to encourage mutual help, strive to create a more inclusive and cohesive Tung Chung community. As part of the Programme, InspiringHK Sports Foundation will be organising the "Building Community, Building Tung Chung: Lunar Walkathon 2025"on 8 February 2025 (Saturday) in Tung Chung. As a supporting partner for the walkathon, the Department of Health, together with "10,000 Steps a Day" campaign and Lazy Lion, promote walking more and increase physical activity. Three walking routes with varying difficulty levels have been designed for individuals and families who would like to explore the vibrant Tung Chung community in different ways. A sports carnival will be held on the same day, featuring diverse activities including a lively New Year market, engaging parent-child workshops, interactive sports booths and games, and captivating performances. Come join us at the Lunar Walkathon and carnival and enjoy a wonderful day with your family and immerse in the community spirit of Tung Chung!
